Gluten Free Choices

Appetizer Options

  • Chips and salsa, guacamole, or queso

  • Nachos Especial – served with beans and cheese and /or your choice of Beef or chicken fajita.

    *Ask for regular corn chips to be used for nachos when ordering Gluten-free

  • Market Street Corn – Roasted whole kernel corn mixed with chili cream sauce and cotija cheese.

    *Order without fried flour chips. Ask for regular corn chips instead.

  • Shrimp Ceviche – Shrimp cured in our homemade cilantro lime marinade, avocado, red onion, and cucumber.

    *Order without fried corn tostadas. Ask for regular corn chips instead.

Ensalada Options

  • Ensalada de Colores - Mixed greens with orange and grapefruit sections, red and green bell pepper and red onion. Topped with two slices of avocado. Additional Protein options: Beef, chicken, or shrimp Fajita and picadillo meat.

  • Taco Salad without shell – mixed greens topped with tomato, cheddar cheese, a scoop of guacamole, and sour cream. Additional protein options: Beef, chicken, or shrimp Fajita and picadillo meat.

    *Order without the shell when ordering gluten-free.

  • Guacamole Salad without shell - shredded lettuce topped with tomato, and guacamole.
    Additional protein options: Beef, chicken, or shrimp Fajita and picadillo meat.

Parrilla Options

  • Pollo Asado Plate - Grilled chicken breast topped with your choice of Santa Ana, tomatillo, or poblano sauce, with pepper jack cheese and Pico de Gallo, and served with rice and refried beans.

  • Fajita Plate – Fajita meat grilled on an open flame with bell peppers, onions, Pico de Gallo, guacamole, and sour cream, served with rice and borracho beans.
    Your choice of Chicken, beef, shrimp, or grilled veggies.

Gluten (Wheat Flour)

  • Taco and chalupa shells are fried in the same fryer used for flour-coated items.

  • Our house-made enchilada gravy sauce DOES contain flour.

  • Tomatillo sauce, Santa Ana sauce, and Poblano Sauce are made with corn starch.

Vegetarian Choices

Salad Options

  • Guacamole Salad - shredded lettuce topped with diced tomatoes and guacamole in a small shell bowl.

  • Ensalada de Colores - Mixed greens with orange and grapefruit sections, red and green bell pepper, and red onion. Topped with two slices of avocado.

  • Taco Salad without meat – mixed greens topped with diced tomatoes, cheddar cheese, a scoop of guacamole, and sour cream. If choosing beans as protein, substitute refried beans.

Main Course Options

  • Vegetable Enchiladas - Enchiladas are rolled in red tortillas and vegetables that include red and green bell pepper, onions, yellow squash, and zucchini. Topped with Santa Ana sauce and Monterey Jack cheese. Served with rice and refried beans.
    *Casa Rio carries red gluten-free corn tortillas that are also free from red dye #40.

  • Vegan Chalupa combo plate - Two crispy corn tortillas topped with refried beans, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cheddar cheese. Served with rice and a scoop of guacamole. (Grilled vegetables can be added)

  • Vegetable Fajita plate - Grilled vegetables include red and green bell peppers, onions, yellow squash, and zucchini. Served with rice and refried beans. Pico de Gallo, a scoop of sour cream, and guacamole are served on a side plate.

Additional Information

  • Our taco shells and chalupa shells are fried in-house in soybean oil.

  • Our Mexican rice and refried beans are made without animal products or flour.

  • Our house-made enchilada gravy sauce DOES contain chicken stock.

  • Our fajita meat is grilled separately from our grilled vegetables.

  • Grilled items are cooked on a shared surface with seafood. Grilled items include chicken and fajita meat, street taco meat, hamburger buns, and quesadillas.

  • Chile relleno (which is coated in an egg batter) is fried in the same fryer as our shells.

  • Tamales, chili con carne, pollo poppers, and borracho beans are made with pork.

  • We do not use MSG or nut products of any kind.

Casa Rio is a high volume restaurant with multiple levels. We seat everyone on a first come, first served, basis. Private dining options available.
